Meet The Author

Growing up l was lucky enough to go to riding lessons and that is where my passion for ponies began and I dreamed one day of owning my own riding school.  I went to weekly lessons and when I was 7 years old I drew a picture of The Rainbow Riding School, naming my ponies and making up adventures about themEven choosing all the door colours from a DIY store's paint charts!

Life, as we all know, marches on and as my teenage years came and went and my studies took over I had less time for riding. My life took me down a completely different path so I never did fulfil my dream of owning my own riding school but neither, too, did I ever quite forget it either.

It was when my daughter turned 5 years old and she had the opportunity to take some riding lessons that I began to tell her about my Rainbow Riding School. It was purely the look of joy as I recounted these gentle tales to her that really ignited in me a passion to write them down. It was also a wonderful way of bringing back the innocence of stories that I had the pleasure of reading as a child that always seemed full of happy-endings and strong moral guidance.

I hope you grow to love the ponies and their friends as much as I do.
